As for why bother to fight about it? Because someone needs to stand up for Christians. We are not evil, we can even have gay friends. but if we allow them to make marriage into a gay choice, then our religion is altered. Marriage was established by God in the example of Adam and Eve. If you are christian you would care that pastors are being sued, churches are closing their doors, and some are being forced to accept gay weddings in them.

The fact that you have gay friends is no difference to me. Showing kindness to all is very christlike. I wonder if when jesus had dinner with the prostitutes and whores if he ommitted from his speach that their actions were sins. I think he did not, but he probably emphasized the love of God and his lifechangeing influence. As long as you don't condone same sex, then you are not sinning, but you are not helping your friends into heaven either.

You are right, BUT our founders knew that they did not want to be forced to support what they didn't want, and that was the church of England. That is why they wrote the Constitution, to give EVERY American a right to religion. Whats the point of being forced to be a christian, when you are not a believer in the almighty??? The founders made our country from Christianity , but also gave ppl their own rights to worship whomever.

I am a christian, with gay friends. I don't feel the need to to constantly tell them that being gay is a sin. I don't want to cause my lifelong friends pain that already exists. Me being their friend, wanting them to have a equal life on earth, is not a bad thing. Their sins are not sending me to hell or heaven. I AM NOT turning my back on ANYBODY that I love b/c of their desires. I feel that it is better for me to be with them rather than abandoned them b/c of their sexuality. Sorry!

mankind. People are to easily corrupted to serve their own interests. That all besides the point, I just want to be free to worship as I choose, and not have my Pastors afraid that someone will sue them to use their church for a gay wedding. I also really don't want my marriage to be lumped together as just another marriage out of the many choices say man and man or woman and woman. MArriage is man and woman, it always has been.
