While Chrysler is credited with the minivans invention, one of the most sought after vehicles in this segment is built by Honda. we just bought a 2007 odyssey, and we simply LOVE it! especially the 8 seating. one thing ours does not have is the remove rear hatch, which would be nice, but i have lived this long with out one, i can do it again. We also have a grand caravan 1996, bouthgt new in 1997, it has been a really nice van for a long time, but has NO comparison to our odyssey!!! ... just simply a great ride!

@VadimNesen Nope, Honda invented the first mass produced variable valve timing (get that, mass produced, I don't need people telling me certain companies like Alfa Romeo and Lamborghini made engines with it in small quantities before Honda). Two or three cylinders can be shut down by having their valves deactivated by the VTEC system, allowing the car to be much more fuel efficient (and no, it has no ill affects and you can hardly feel the switch from the cabin, I know from experience...).

this is so comfortable

i thought only the TOYOTA has VVT-variable valve timing. and the heck would one cylinder stop working to "save" gas...?????? doesn't that leave it hanging and tearing up the cylinder..??

okay my mom have a 2008 honda odyssey ex and it dose not have a problem with the transmissions and the new 2011 honda odyssey is better then the gay sienna
polypolyman (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@nAyGiNi the new ones have much better transmissions than the older versions. And even still, the transmission is no worse than, say, a ford or a chrysler.
